Another new week at home with our virtual learning! I’m so proud of how our class has been working so hard under these conditions! I hope everyone is healthy!
Today, we are going to read a new story in your Journey’s big book called Sarah, Plain and Tall. Watch the following to learn a bit about pioneer life:
and this one about covered wagons. These covered wagons were how the pioneers moved across the country to find their new homes.

To practice your skills, please go to Schoology and complete the HOTS question posted in the reading folder, in the Monday folder, in the week of April 27-May 1 folder. You logon to Schoology through the Clever App. The first time you go there, you may have to put in your 902# and password.
Next is your phonics work. Today you will be watching some videos. The first one is about when you should double the final consonant when you add -ed and -ing endings.
The next one is a song about instances where you are adding -ing and you have to drop the final “e”.
and the last one is a spelling rules rap about -ed and -ing.
Moving on to vocabulary for Sarah, Plain and Tall. Today you are learning the new vocabulary words. You will open a study stack of them. Please take your time to learn these new words. After spending at least 10 minutes practicing them, play the MATCHING GAME.

Now onto MATH:
In math, you will continue to solve word problems using the CUBE strategy. Here is a video about Lesson 3 from me. To watch it,,please login to your Schoology account. It is posted in Mondays file in the Apr27-may1 week folder found under assignments/activities.
After watching, logon to formative and complete the three questions in the Mod7L3Homework file there.
For I.B., we will continue with invertebrates for this week. Watch this video about invertebrates.
Now,,logon to Mobymax and complete the What are invertebrates lesson.
